Please help to support the Royal Air Forces Association on my Just Giving Page. I am riding 50 miles at Kendrew Barracks on the 14th June (was RAF Cottesmore).
What is RAFA Rides?
RAFA Rides is the RAF Association’s annual global cycling event. Suitable for everyone from keen cyclists to amateur riders, it is a chance for you to challenge yourself and be part of a cycling event like no other, all while staying connected with the RAF community.
Money raised through RAFA Rides is used to fund the RAF Association’s vital work providing much-needed help and support to thousands in the RAF community. In 2024, the event raised an incredible £150,000.
There are many reasons to join RAFA Rides. For Gordon Hickman, signing up for RAFA Rides was the perfect way to honour his late father – who joined the RAF in 1964.
In 2025 cyclists can choose to take part in one of our four major events or sign up for RAFA Rides Your Way.
This year there will be events taking place at Kendrew Barracks as well as at three of the RAF’s most prolific stations; RAF Marham, RAF Brize Norton and RAF Leeming.
The season will begin at RAF Marham on Saturday 7 June, followed by Kendrew Barracks on Saturday 14 June, RAF Brize Norton on Saturday 21 June and RAF Leeming on Saturday 28 June.
RAFA Rides Your Way, which takes place throughout the month of June 2025, offers participants the most flexibility, allowing teams and individuals to create their own events from wherever they are in the world, choosing their own date, start time, location and distance.
